Vegan N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine to help protect cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals.

Cysteine is a semi-essential amino acid that we must get from our diets. But when dietary intake of the amino acids needed for our bodies to make cysteine is low, taking cysteine in supplemental form is critical. N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, or NAC, provides a direct source of cysteine and is known most notably for its ability to support immune health. NAC is required to make glutathione, one of our body’s most important antioxidants. It can help to relieve respiratory conditions such as bronchitis by reducing inflammation and loosening mucous that can constrict air passages.

Supplemental NAC is traditionally sourced from duck feathers, however, Health First NAC is a completely vegan formula sourced from non-GMO corn! Our formula provides 500 mg of NAC and it’s gluten-free, making it the ideal choice for vegans, vegetarians, and anyone with gluten sensitivities!
